Human Resources – Mrs. Windingstad reported that staffing continues for this school year and we are already well under way for the 2022-23 school year. We have approximately 70 postings open and our biggest need is currently in the special education teacher area. Liz also reported that negotiations continue with our teacher group and are beginning to be scheduled for other groups. Lastly, Liz reported that Biometrics and all of the Wellness activities have been completed for the school year. The $500 incentive will be deposited by the end of June and that the committee is using the remaining funds to purchase equipment for the Fitness Center. The committee is also looking to purchase massage chairs for the Wellness Rooms with the remaining funds. 3. Teaching & Learning – Mrs. Thomas reported the 2021 graduation rates were released on March 30th. Statewide the graduation rate dropped 0.5 percentage points from 2020. The 4-year graduation rate for the statewide class of 2021 was 83.3%. In Willmar we were incrementally trending up, but took a dip in 2020. Now in 2021 we are back to about the same rates as 2019 and 2019. Stakeholder engagement surveys were recently administered to obtain feedback from our stakeholders about their experiences with our district. We surveyed families, staff, and students in grades 3-12. Over 2,500 responses were received. The results will be shared publicly once we have compiled them. 4. Superintendent - Dr. Holm reported COVID numbers have been very low the past few weeks with zero this week. Dr. Holm announced Dr. Bill Adams has been hired as our Assistant Superintendent for the 22-22 and 23-24 school years. He will be starting with us on July 1, 2022.
