Peloton, one of the biggest brands in the luxury at-home fitness category, officially launched a brand new product this morning: the Peloton Guide. It’s an AI-enabled fitness tracker designed to make strength workouts at home more effective and accessible for all skill levels.

Unlike their other hardware products, the Peloton Bike and Peloton Tread, the Guide is a small camera that plugs into your TV that’s built with machine learning and smart camera capabilities to lead you through strength workouts with more instruction than ever before. It’s also way cheaper than any of Peloton’s other high-ticket fitness items, at a sticker price of $295.00.

Picture streaming a Peloton fitness class to your TV, but instead of winging the moves alongside the instructor, and hoping you’re getting them right, you’re coached via the technology and given a clear course towards getting stronger.

With the Peloton Guide, members are encouraged to mimic the movements of the instructor and get real-time feedback on their form. In Self Mode, you can see yourself on your screen alongside the instructor and correct your own form as you progress through the workout.

The Movement Tracker gives you credit for each of the moves you complete, regardless of which weight you’re using, and helps you track your progress.

There’s also a Body Activity function that shows you which muscles you’ve recently worked and which ones you should focus on in your next session for a well-rounded fitness routine.

You can find classes by certain muscle groups, get personalized recommendations based on muscles you haven’t worked yet, and see a full-body view of the muscles you’ve worked out in the last 30 days, 7 days or recent slew of workouts.

In their press release announcing the product back in 2021 Peloton’s co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Tom Cortese, explained that “Peloton Guide demystifies strength training to create a more engaging experience that will help Members stay motivated.”

“We combined our world-class Instructors and class content with the best machine learning technology to create a whole new way to train. This is just the beginning for Peloton strength. Guide will keep getting smarter so it can grow stronger alongside our Members.”

You can purchase the Peloton Guide on its own, just the camera, and use your own weights as the machine doesn’t require Peloton weights to track your movement.

The Peloton Guide is also available in two different bundles: The Peloton Guide Strength Starter pack and the Guide Power pack. The Guide Strength Starter comes with the Guide camera as well as a workout mat and three sets of Peloton dumbbells between 5-30 pounds.

The Guide Power pack comes with the Guide camera, a workout mat, six sets of ROGUE dumbbells between 5-50 pounds and a heart rate band, for calculating when you’re in certain fat burning zones.
